  1. Hi
I installed the button on my vbulletin forum but have a button with a ? and a green box below. When you press the button I received an error message.
I am the Administrator of the forum http://www.decoratingforum.com.au
Can you help me to get this working.
I am not a computer person so excuse my ignorance if I am doing something basic wrong

  2. Hi,

I'm not sure how you're embedding your button, but you've left the session identifier in the URL:

    Needs to be:

  6. Hi,

It sounds like this 3rd party mod is causing the problem.

I'm afraid we can't provide support for 3rd party plugins, but if you point its developer at this forum, we can probably help them fix their mod.

  7. Thanks Nick,
They are not replying on that forum.
If I remove the mod can you tell me how I would install this button to come up on new threads on my forum?

  8. Hi there,

You need to find the call to the method that provides the url for just the post within the forum, not the top level forum url. This needs to be passed to the tweetmeme_url and then it should all work perfectly. And remember if you want it to retweet from one of your accounts also specify the tweetmeme_source as your twitter username.

    Many thanks

  10. Thank you for your reply but it made no sense to me. I have no computer skills. Could you explain this on a more basic level?
    I would greatly appreciate it.

  11. Please read the details on how to do this here then:
    http://help.tweetmeme.com/2009/04/06/tweetmeme-button/

It's as simple as we can make it for you unless you are trying to integrate into Wordpress, Blogger, Posterous, Typepad etc. Please do look on the http://help.tweetmeme.com area for appropriate detailed information on how to add the different types of buttons including the details on the javascript button and the plugins.

    Many thanks

  12. I am trying to add it to a vbulletin forum.Do you have specific instructions on how to do that?

Posted 2 years ago by Designsdbj
  13. No we don't have specific instructions for that you would need to figure that out for yourself or ask the vbulletin forums community about what call it is that will provide you with the url for the individual posts.

From there you should then be able to use our standard javascript button placed within the template for your forum with the call to the post URL within the button code.

    Many thanks
