Fatal error after updating TweetMeme

  1. Hi I used to have TweetMeme working fine on my blog, but when I tried to update to the latest version it returned an error message. So I deleted the plugin, and re-installed it. When I tried to activate it I got the following error message -

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ELSE in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\journalcraftwordpress\wp-content\plugins\tweetmeme.php on line 617

I am running WP version 2.8.4.

    Any advice please?

  2. Sorry, forgot to add that I originally tried to use the 'automatic update' feature. Unfortunately I did not keep a note of the original error message.

  3. I have the exact same problem, yet I deleted the plug-in and downloaded/installed manually. All 4 of my blogs get the same error.

  5. Sarah, I sent through the information you requested a couple of days ago. I just wondered if you had made any progress in identifying the problem yet?

  6. Hi Gill,

We're seeing some commonaities on host setups of sites but they may just be conincidences at this time and would take a LOT of effort to recreate on our servers so we're awaiting more data from others with this issue before we start down that route.

I suspect the issue is that a folder or subfolder isn't writable or accessible on your server where we are expecting it to be but as soon as I know more it'll go up here.

    Thanks
    Sarah

  7. Thanks for the response, I will keep checking back for updates. Strange as it was working fine before the update/re-install.
