  1. I'd like to request that Governor Schwarzenegger's website be white listed please. His twitter name is @Schwarzenegger and we're using your tweetmeme button on his pages: http://gov.ca.gov/index.php?/press-release/12150/.

The Governor tweets under @Schwarzenegger. Contact me for more details. We'd like to move on this quickly. Thanks.

  2. Your tweet button is nice and elegant; but as it's not possible - for now - to customize the tweet message (specially the twitter name).
I finally switch back to this excellent WordPress plugin "Twitter This" http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tweet-this/

  7. What would be excellent... is like the "tweet this" plugin, you are able to list the tweets below the button in order to read what people are saying/linking to the posts :)

  14. We were getting ready to implement this great service on all of our websites which get an above average amount of traffic, but were extremely discouraged by the recent Twitter account replacement/white-listing policy.

I believe it's extremely important to give the originating site's Twitter account credit in the tweet first, not TweetMeme.

If Tweetmeme doesn't provide that function, we will go with the service that does, and I don't think we'll be in the minority.

I hope you guys make this adjustment!

  15. Just so that you all know... We have been listening to you. Update your Wordpress Plugin's... there's a little surprise for you all. :)

We have removed the whitelist restriction and you can now re-tweet under your own accounts until your heart's content. We had it restricted initially to see how it worked in practice and so that we could get rid of any niggles that could occur as a result of our high volume users.

We think we have it all sorted but do let us know if you have any problems with the update.

  16. Ciao, I have changed the @tweetmeme to @retrosuperfuture ( http://retrosuperfuture.com/super/blog/ ) in the settings pane of wordpress plugin and inserted the code manually in the index page with my own div style but nothing happens:

    <?php if (function_exists('tweetmeme')) echo tweetmeme(); ?>

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Thank you for the attention.

  17. Found the problem. RT'ing the "retrosuperfuture" was 1 character to long, apparently your plugin follows the same character limit of tweeter usernames. It was giving me no kind of error, but the i tried putting exactly "yourname" and was working so I tried with "supersunglasses" and is working fine. Maybe next upgrade you could write it on the bottom of the field that there is a limit.

    Thanks for the plugin :)

  18. Dindles,

First of all "retrosuperfuture" is not registered as a twitter username. Additionally, if you go to register it, Twitter will not let you use the full length due to the username length limit - they will make you use "retrosuperfutur". This is why there is a limit on the field, as you should not be able to register a username longer than that length.

Glad you are enjoying the plugin though!
