I know this has come up several times, but I can't see any solutions that apply in my case.

On this post http://blogs.journalism.co.uk/editors/2011/07/21/followjourn-jackschofield-%E2%80%93-jack-schofieldjournalist/

We see a question mark on the Tweetmeme button and it links to http://www.tweetmeme.com/about/fail_404

Several other posts on our blog have the same problem, but many work fine.

There are currently a large number of users reporting issues with their retweet buttons, where on either all of their pages or some of their pages they are getting the message "URL points to wrong story".

Please read and perform all the checks in this post before posting that you are experiencing this issue, as it is more often than not a configuration problem on a certain aspect of your site.

I’m running the TweetMeme plugin version 2.3 in Wordpress version 3.2.1.

My blog is located at http://www.caycon.com/blog

I normally expect the TweetMeme button to look like this:

However, sometimes some buttons end up looking like this:

On the home page of the blog, where multiple posts appear, this problem typically happens with about 20-50% of the posts, while the TweetMeme button looks normal for the remaining posts. This problem occurs on both Chrome and Explorer on Windows, and on Safari on Mac.

Any ideas what might be going on here? Thanks.

Maybe I missed something, but I thought that Tweetmeme was also a database through which folks could SEARCH those "most popular tweets." But I don't see any way to do that.

I happened to stumble on your site when I was searching for folks who tried to complain to Facebook -- found one interesting post and tried to comment that his info was no longer accurate. And that brought me here!

Please clarify. Thanks.

Hi,

I was able to install and use the Tweetmeme Button for Wordpress, when using the default permalink structure ( ?p=123 ). However, when I changed the permalinks to the following : "/%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%", the button shows the question mark error. At any time if I switch back to the old permalinks, it works again.

I've also confirmed that there is no redirect problems, as you see in this live http headers log.
http://pastebin.com/FqGmukxJ

Any suggestions?

Hey new guy here with a problem. I recently made the switch to a IMac and love it. However, I am having problems trying to find a program to convert my Sony HD video files to something the Mac can understand and work with. So far every program I try can't do it or converts everything but what I need. This will kill me because I have a ton of family videos and need to get them formatted into movies. Thanks for any help you all can offer.

Hello, everyone!
I'm an Italian translator for Twitter. I stumbled upon a TweetMeme button to retweet a web page and I noticed that the Italian translation for "Retweet this" is mispelled. It should say "Ritwitta", according to our translation guidelines.
The "retweet" button should also say "ritwitta".
This suggestion is not coming from Twitter, in any way. As I said, I just stumbled upon it and though it would be very nice if you could find some spare time to quickly fix this, to avoid confusing Italian users about the correct way to say "Retweet".

Thank you very much in advance,

Hello! Just started using the TweetMeme button. The count # seems low/late. HootSuite shows 43 RTs of a post I did yesterday but TweetMeme shows only 16. It was stuck at 1 for most of the day yesterday even tho HootSuite showed way more. Saw similar ?s posted but no responses. Any suggestions/fixes? Is there a best practice for using HootSuite? THANKS!
