Hello, everyone!
I'm an Italian translator for Twitter. I stumbled upon a TweetMeme button to retweet a web page and I noticed that the Italian translation for "Retweet this" is mispelled. It should say "Ritwitta", according to our translation guidelines.
The "retweet" button should also say "ritwitta".
This suggestion is not coming from Twitter, in any way. As I said, I just stumbled upon it and though it would be very nice if you could find some spare time to quickly fix this, to avoid confusing Italian users about the correct way to say "Retweet".

Thank you very much in advance,
@Montblanc9999

In IE 7, the iframe code for tweet meme is added via javascript in button.js . On line 37 of button.js, the following should be added to allow transparency in IE7.

newButton.allowTransparency = "true";

The allowtransparency value is set in iframes generated by twitter.php, but not when they are generated via button.js

Thanks!

For the last few days we've been having problems with TweetMeme button on http://www.dwayneflinchum.com and also with Tweetmeme Connection to Twitter account @dwayneflinchum. I have revoked access to TM in my Twitter settings and uninstalled TM button plugin. But after trying it again the problem persisted. I keep on getting TM "Error page". I cleared my browser's cookies and cache - but it didn't help either. Please advice, Regards.

I have activated the Wordpress Plugin of Tweetmeme for my site. I have enabled it to appear on all my posts. I have tw special areas I want it to appear:

1. I want it to appear on some selected pages of my site (in the same left side top position relative to the content, as it does on my posts). However if I select the display on pages, it appears on every single page of my site whch I do not want. How ddo I enable it only on some pages, in addition to the posts were it is already functioning?

2. I am using the plugin "Allow HTML in Category Descriptions" to make my category pages also start with some text and images before listing the archived posts of that category. Here I want to include the Tweetmeme button again at the left top position relative to the content of the category page. How do I do that? Since the content at the top of the category page is being created in html ad inserted into the Category Description field for each category, I need to know how to enable the btton to appear on the category pages as it does on individual posts.

Thanks for your assistance.

Dears.

I am a Japanese user. I use TweetMeme on my blog, the language of which is also Japanese.
Then maultiple language support on TweetMeme Button was recently started. This service changes the description of the button from in Engilish to in Japanease automatically for japanese site visitor. It is not good.

Because

1) The design of TweetMeme Button in Japanese is not fit. I love the design which has English display.
2) The font which is used in Japanese TweetMeme Button is also not fit in the design of this button itself.

Please allow users to choice the language in TweetMeme Button!

It's very annoying the new feature that auto-translates with Google the user retweet. The Google translations in some languages are total mess.

I have a site in Romanian and Tweetmeme is (badly) translating the retweets in English but I don't need this.

You have to provide us with some option to disable this "feature". This feature should be disabled by default.

First, I think that the TweetMeMe options should should up under settings and not on their own.

Second, I think you should be able to use a local link shortener on your own site. (Like I use with my WordTwit plugin.

Hi there,

I am in the process of moving my WordPress based site http://hetnieuwewerkenblog.nl to a shorter domain, http;//hnwblog.nl.

Your FAQ clearly states the following: "At this point in time we do not provide the ability to transfer the old count to a new domain." Effectively, this means every counter is set to 0 when moving. The impact of this is pretty huge, imho...as the site visitor identifies good content with the amount of Retweets.

Could you please let me know if this functionality will be available soon? Is it in your development roadmap? For example, I'd be happy to include a javascript variable in the header of my site so your WordPress plugin checks an extra domain url.

Thank you for letting me know and creating Tweetmeme!

With kind regards,

Any idea why the retweet buttons on our articles are suddenly dropping from showing the actual number of retweets to showing zero for, apparently, no reason.

For example, this article

http://www.journalism.co.uk/5/articles/538231.php

was previously showing about 15 retweets, now it is showing 0, even though you can see them if you click through to Tweetmeme.

Tweetmeme often fails to pick up on retweets in the first place too.

Thanks.

I got 404 error.

"

replace ‘http://mysite.com’ with your own root URL and:
replace ‘twitterhandle’ with your twitter handle (if you want reweets to automagically incude @yourtwitterhandle – you can opt to delete that line from the code otherwise.

Hi,

I'm interested in implementing a retweet feature but I noticed that the API requires you to implement the javascript on the location you want the button to appear. A performance killer if I ever saw one. Why not implement it in a performance efficient way: by allowing a predefined div to be the container for the button. This way we can implement the javascript library at the bottom of the page where it will not block page loading until it's done? Quite trivial to add. Or is this available already? I didn't see it in the documentation.

After a lot of digging I finally found that you *can* use your own existing short URLs with the retweet button. That's great, because my biggest hesitation in using it was that it would create another short URL for my posts.

It's through the use of the "alias" parameter in the URL for the iframe source. My question is why isn't this something that can be enabled or specified in the options for the WordPress plugin? I ended up hacking the plugin to add the two lines of code to do this.

Suggested implementation would be to have an option that is the title of a custom field that stores the short URL for a post. I don't know how some of the other URL shortener plugins work, but for YOURLS integration, it creates its' own custom field.

Thanks for the great service!
